Job Summary:
As part of the GNC team at EagleNXT, your main responsibilities will be to design, implement, document and validate GNC (guidance, navigation and control) algorithms for fixed wing UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle).
You will analyze bug reports and feature requests, come up with the best solution in terms of quality, maintainability and development time and lead its development from design to production.
You will perform simulations, ground tests and flight tests to validate your work.
You will help your teammates in their own work on the autopilot, object recognition and visual navigation by taking part in group discussions, providing feedback on their designs and reviewing their code.
You will interact with the mechanical, software and hardware teams regularly to ensure proper integration of your work in the drone.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, robotics, aerospace or related field
2 years industry or postgraduate experience in one or more of the following areas:
Strong knowledge in applied mathematics, with the ability to develop algorithms for guidance, navigation, and control.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages
Experience in computer vision is a plus
Experience in embedded systems is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Hybrid, GNC engineers are expected to work on-site when possible.

- Contribute to sensor (IMU, GNSS, pressure sensor, range finder) specification, integration and calibration.
- Implement and maintain GNC algorithms in C++, such as
- Digital signal processing and filtering
- Kalman filtering
- Path planning and guidance
- Control laws
- Elaborate specifications, presentations, and reports for design reviews and documentation.
- Perform simulations and field tests.
Required Qualifications:
