NYSE-listed AgEagle Aerial Systems is seeking a talented, experienced (5-10 years), and motivated Sr. Android Engineer to join the software team at our senseFly located in Cheseaux-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland.  The candidate should be able to work autonomously but able to collaborate with the other R&D team members. 

***Note that this is a 100% office-based position. Neither visa sponsorship nor relocation assistance are available for this role. ***

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain C++ applications.
  • Design and implement Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to create seamless user experiences.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure high-quality code.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Propose and implement UX improvements to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Comfortable and experienced user facing.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in C++ development.
  • Strong knowledge of Android development using Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, APIs, and frameworks.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Efficiency in proposing UX improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Knowledge of mobile app architecture and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
