Position Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing operational Human Resources support to SenseFly SA employees and managers in Switzerland.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner based in the United States and the local leadership team, the HR Generalist ensures smooth execution of local HR processes, compliance with Swiss employment requirements, and a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. The role acts as the local HR point of contact while supporting HR administration, employee relations, compliance activities, employee engagement initiatives and local leadership needs.

Position Summary
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing operational Human Resources support to SenseFly SA employees and managers in Switzerland.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner based in the United States and the local leadership team, the HR Generalist ensures smooth execution of local HR processes, compliance with Swiss employment requirements, and a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. The role acts as the local HR point of contact while supporting HR administration, employee relations, compliance activities, employee engagement initiatives and local leadership needs.
Responsibilities
HR Administration
- Prepare employment contracts, amendments, employment certificates and other HR documentation throughout the employee lifecycle in collaboration with the HRBP.
- Maintain accurate employee records and information in the HR information system.
- Manage employee data updates and employee lifecycle changes.
- Coordinate work permit applications and renewals.
- Prepare HR reports and mandatory statistical surveys.
- Ensure appropriate handling and confidentiality of employee personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection requirements.
Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Organize new employee orientation and integration.
- Monitor probation periods and coordinate review processes.
- Support managers with HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle.
Time & Attendance Management
- Manage employee working hours, overtime, compensatory time, vacation and other leave requests.
- Ensure accurate recording of attendance and absences in accordance with company policies and Swiss legislation.
Social Insurance, Benefits & Compliance
- Manage Swiss social insurance matters, including registrations, changes and claims (AVS, LPP, LAA, APG, family allowances, etc.).
- Manage declarations related to accidents, illness, maternity, paternity and other insurance events.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration and provide support to employees regarding benefits-related questions.
- Ensure compliance with Swiss employment legislation and internal HR policies.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Local point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR matters.
- Listen to employee concerns with empathy, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Support employees and managers in resolving workplace questions or issues.
- Promote a positive, respectful and collaborative work environment.
- Coordinate local employee events and team-building activities.
- Support initiatives that foster employee engagement and positive workplace culture.
Training & Employee Development
- Coordinate mandatory and professional training activities.
- Maintain training records and documentation.
- Support the annual performance review process and employee development initiatives.
Health & Safety
- Support local health and safety initiatives.
- Coordinate required documentation, training and compliance activities.
- Support incident reporting, preventive actions and workplace safety improvements.
Quality Management (ISO 9001)
- Maintain HR documentation, procedures, processes, instructions and forms.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes.
Payroll Support (Backup Role)
- Assist with monthly payroll preparation and payroll data validation.
- Coordinate payroll information with the external payroll provider.
- Provide payroll support during absences or holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
- Federal Diploma of HR Specialist, HRSE certificate, or equivalent HR qualification.
- 5+ years of operational HR experience in Switzerland.
- Good knowledge of Swiss employment law and social insurance.
- Experience managing HR administration independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with employees and managers.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Fluent in French and proficient in English (minimum C1 level).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
